Cork City finally got their hands on the Premier Division trophy in front of their passionate supporters at Turners Cross last night. The game against Bray Wanderers was purely a formality, however John Caulfield’s men won the game by a goal to nil with Conor McCormack grabbing the winning goal.

Caulfield, who has agreed a new 2-year deal with the club, said it’s special to lift the trophy in front of their special fans, “It’s great to see the team do the lap of honour. The fans are going home with a smile on their faces. It’s been 12 years, a long time. We won it last week, but it’s sweet when you get the trophy. You see the team walking around the pitch with it, it’s great for the fans.”
