Cobh looking to reach the U-19 league semi-finals at the expense of St Pats

After winning the Southern Division Title on the last day of the season, after a 1-1 draw with UCD, Cobh Ramblers host St Patrick’s Athletic on Sunday in the league quarter-finals.

Ramblers manager Declan Coleman can’t wait for his side to get back into action after what seems like age, “We're really looking forward to the game on Sunday now, especially after having such a long break since our last competitive fixture.”

“We've been training very well, but the lack of games over the past few weeks has been frustrating. I suppose it adds to the excitement of this game a bit.”

Having picked up some injuries throughout the season Coleman says that he hopes to have as near to a full-strength squad to choose from, “We have close to a full squad, there are a couple of guys with long term injuries and a couple who may face late fitness tests, but it's just a few little knocks really from the competitive nature of our training sessions so the lads should be fine.”

Cobh are fortunate to have some first-team players available for selection along with some exceptional Under 17 talent also involved and Coleman is looking forward to testing his side against the Dublin club, “It will be a great challenge playing another very strong Dublin team but we've had a good season and hopefully we can keep it going for another few weeks.”
